Legacy Art Project... Inspired by Terry Fox

A new public art park celebrating HOPE joined Toronto’s Waterfront in 2023.

A permanent public art and landscape installation inspired by Terry Fox’s legacy is located on the waterfront at Queen’s Quay West at Spadina Avenue on a portion of the site adjacent to the renowned Toronto Music Garden.

The Legacy Art Project is built on the spirit of courage, determination, and action that Terry Fox embodied. The art and landscape design by artist Jon Sasaki and DTAH creates a setting to inspire visitors, ignite passion, spark action and create impact.

The Legacy Art Project operated as a not for profit corporation working with City of Toronto, Toronto Foundation and Waterfront Toronto as well as a community of philanthropists, planners, architects and dedicated volunteers. Jacquelyn served as the Strategy and Operations Manager from 2014 to 2019. In that time we spearheaded all defining partnerships, policy creation at City Hall, fundraising, champion creation and brand and marketing materials. We led the public consultations and the public art curation with art consultant Rebecca Carbin.
